About

Embark on a personal adventure through the breathtaking Alaskan backcountry! On this guided tour, you’ll be in control of your own single-rider ATV or a two-person side-by-side (minimum 2 people), exploring rugged trails, scenic dry riverbeds, and historic sites. Experience Alaska as it was meant to be — wild, rough, and unforgettable. This tour runs rain, snow, or shine, so you can enjoy Alaska’s beauty in any weather.

Your journey begins with a comprehensive safety and orientation session, where our guides will explain all functions of the ATV and give you time to practice until you feel completely confident. A helmet is required, and other safety gear — including goggles, gloves, rain gear, and masks — is available upon request.

The tour winds along historic coal mining trails and takes you onto the Dry Creek Riverbed, where Native Athabascan artifacts have been discovered in archaeological digs. You’ll pass through diverse local vegetation and stunning mountain vistas. Throughout the ride, your guide will share fascinating insights about the flora, fauna, geology, geography, Alaskan history, and the rich history of the local valley. Frequent stops are coordinated so the group can enjoy the experience together. The tour travels at a controlled speed of 7–11 mph, with a maximum of 11 mph, allowing for the best comfort and sightseeing opportunities.

This tour is ideal for first-time ATV drivers, beginners, or anyone who wants to experience the thrill of Alaska’s backcountry in a safe, guided setting. Photo opportunities and wildlife sightings abound, making this a truly memorable adventure.

Please email us to request a side-by-side (SXS). Minimum of 2 people.
