Take the opportunity to view up close Alaska’s big wildlife at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. The tour starts in Anchorage downtown, as soon as you depart from Anchorage you immediately experience the magnificent beauty of the scenic drive along the Turnagain Arm on the Seward Highway. You will make a couple of stops to capture the scenic Alaska’s landscape and of course the opportunity to take your selfie !

The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care of the Alaska’s wildlife with a conservation approach, doing research and education for the care of the Animals in its 200 acres. This body of land provides large natural habitats, where the animals con grow or be rehabilitated whether the animal is an orphan or and injured one.

The Alaska Wild Conservation Center is located 49 miles south of Anchorage at the head of the Turnagain Arm at milepost 79 of the Seward Highway. The center is a Wildlife sanctuary for orphaned or inured wildlife as well as a home or temporary home to captive born and translocated wildlife.

Animals at the center include Wolves, Grizzly bears, black bears, moose, elk, Sitka black tail deer, muskox, caribou, wood bison, red foxes, porcupine, Lynxes, bald eagles, owls, and coyotes. There is an opportunity to buy a light lunch at the center. After the visit through the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, your tour will return to Anchorage.
