Ocean Halibut Fishing

Variable start times • All ages • World's most prolific halibut fishery

About

Halibut LOVE the flat sandy gravel bottom of the Cook Inlet

About

This trip leaves out of Ninilchik or Homer

The Cook Inlet experiences the second biggest tide changes in the world. Because of this we fish around the “slack tide”, a time near high or low tide when the water is moving the slowest so our departure times will change daily.

the most prolific halibut fishery in the world. Halibut LOVE its flat sandy gravel bottom and thrive on the ecosystem’s food chain of herring, cod, salmon, and crab. Even though every halibut isn’t a “barn door”, your likelihood of catching your limit is excellent, and every fish caught yields mounds of succulent boneless white meat.

We launch from Deep Creek boat launch, which is a beach + tractor style launch!"
