About

Please Note Rafts are not available on this trip. Due to the shallow depth of The Jack River, it is best experienced in a kayak.

The Jack River is a highly scenic trip that provides unparalleled views and requires active paddling for participants. Meandering away from the roadside access points, this section gives a chance to escape the noise and enjoy nature. As a tributary to the Nenana River, The Jack is shallower and faster moving than other trips. This makes it perfect for anyone with basic kayaking experience looking for an introduction to Alaskan water with opportunities to hone river navigation techniques. If weather conditions are permitting, this trip boasts one of the only locations in the area where an elusive view of Mount Denali may be seen.
