About
Kodiak, Alaska. Home to the largest bears on the planet. Also home to some of the best fishing Alaska has to offer! With an abundant ecosystem full of life, halibut in Kodiak can be caught within sight of town and in as little as 25 feet of water! Additionally, halibut are located all around the archipelago thus your travel time is minimal! NO 3 hour one way boat rides to the fishing grounds here, within 15 minutes you can be on drag screaming halibut. These trips are 8 hours long or when everyone catches their limit (2; one fish and size and one fish under 28 inches) of halibut.
Meeting Location
Please provide a good mobile contact number for at least 2 members of your party. We will be in contact within 48 hours of your scheduled charter to provide details to the launch site we will be using on that day. Depending on water and weather conditions, the launch site and meeting time are scheduled to change.
What to Bring:
- Each guest over the age of 15 MUST HAVE a valid Alaska fishing license.
- Warm and waterproof clothing. Layering is highly encouraged. Down jackets, windbreakers and rubber clothing is a must on the water.
- Waterproof/rubber footwear. There will be water, fish slime, fish blood, and fish flopping on the deck; your feet will get wet without waterproof footwear.
- Rain pants, rubber bibs or similar
- Hat
- Gloves
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Camera
- Any food or drinks you'd like during the trip. Alcohol is permitted in controlled amounts.
What's Provided:
- All fishing rods, reels, tackle, and bait.
- Professional fish cleaning and portioning at the end of the trip.
- Coast Guard licensed professional captain with Near Coastal endorsement and experience.

Cancellation
BOOKING
When you book your charter, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to other clients. We know your time is valuable and ours is too, therefore, all bookings become final after 24 hours of original booking. We are an owner-operated small business without a store front or office staff. Therefore, once the summer season starts, we want 100% of our attention to be focused on making your trip the most memorable possible, not collecting final payments.
Final payments are due May 1 the year of your scheduled charter date (bookings made after May 1 are not subject to this policy).WE WILL ATTEMPT TO BILL THE CARD USED ON THE ORIGINAL BOOKING FOR FINAL PAYMENT. In the event that card does not go through, you will receive ONE email reminder, AND ONE text message. In the event that you are unreachable after 7 days, your booking will become null and void and eligible for resale. You will NOT be refunded but any received money shall be held for up to 365 days to be used towards another charter.
WAIVER ACKNOWLEDMENT
All guests are required to sign a waiver prior to their scheduled charter date. The waiver will be emailed to you once you have completed your initial booking.
SHARED TRIPS
If you don’t arrive on time for your scheduled charter, the boat WILL NOT wait for you. If you notify us in advance of late arrival, we will make every effort to accommodate reasonable requests.
PRIVATE TRIPS
If you have booked the entire boat, departure and return times may be negotiated depending on trip booked.
CANCELLING YOUR RESERVATION
All cancellations are subject to rebooking, in the event of a cancellation you may use your original booking to rebook dates within 365 days of the original booking. (may be subject to rate increases).
A 50% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF BOOKING
Within 24 Hours of Reservation: Will be refunded 100% including original 50% deposit.
Prior to May 1st; Cancelling prior to May 1st, you will be refunded UP TO 50% of total RECEIVED payments. This DOES NOT include the original 50% non-refundable deposit.
After May 1st; Cancellations after May 1st (including original bookings made after May 1), are not eligible for refund; instead they will be eligible to be used towards a charter at a later date up to 365 days from original charter date.
In the event that your trip is cancelled due to weather or mechanical failure, your trip will be refunded 100%.
