SILVERTIP YURT
Located an hour and a half south of Anchorage, Manitoba Cabin is a hike-in/ski-in cabin just 1/2 mile off of the Seward Highway. Silvertip Yurt is located on the outskirts of the Manitoba Hut facility. The Silvertip Yurt is a two story yurt, equipped with a CampChef propane stovetop, a standalone sink for washing up, a woodstove, and a bear bin. There are 5 bunks, two of which are built up to sleep two people (cozily), so you could stretch the capacity to 7 people but we recommend 6 people maximum.
There is also a private outhouse for Silvertip Yurt guests. Please coordinate your sauna usage with other Manitoba Hut guests. Silvertip Yurt is a standalone yurt rental, please respect the privacy of the main Manitoba Hut and its guests. _______
WHAT TO BRING
Silvertip Yurt is outfitted with dishes and utensils, wood for the wood stoves and propane for cooking on the cooking range. You need to bring a sleeping bag, food, and friends! Please be sure to clean up the yurt better than you found it and collect and pack out all clothing, gear and FOOD (incl. spices, condiments, coffee, tea) before you leave. Edibles attract unwanted visitors! _______
WHAT WE DON'T HAVE
There is no running water at the yurt, but Canyon Creek runs right by the front door and is a reliable year-round source of water. It should be treated by boiling, filtering or chemical means before drinking. There is a large pot provided for melting snow on the woodstove during the winter. We also do not have any electrical outlets available. We encourage you to use this opportunity to unplug and enjoy the outdoors and your fellow visitors.
ADVISORY
There have been break-ins in the past at the Mile 48 pullout. Please be advised not to leave any valuables or spare keys in or on your vehicle. If anything suspicious happens to your car while you are there please let us know so that we can coordinate with the authorities.
Cancellation
Reservations cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival:
nMay be transferred at no charge, either to another date or another person,
nOR may be refunded.
Reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival:
nAre not eligible for a refund or transfer to another date.
nYou may transfer the reservation to another person.
24-hour "Mistakes" Clause:
nIf you made a mistake in creating your reservation and wish to make changes within 24 hours of creating the reservation, please contact us by responding to this email.
