Trail length

1.5-18 miles

Trail details:

This trail follows the north side of the Knik River to the Knik Glacier. From the trail head, it's about 1.5 miles to the Knik River. Keep in mind that riding in and amongst the sand dunes can be challenging and all the trails are rutted from use. That said, there is a variety of terrain that ranges from meadows, narrow wooded areas, and gravel paths. Watch for deep water and muddy crossings during wet season.

Items of note:

This is a RS2477 designated route. The trails are extremely popular with OHV's and is usually crowded over the weekends since this trail is easy access and miles of trails.
