About
Your tour transfer includes transportation in our comfortable tour van with large windows for viewing the beautiful scenery. Along the way we offer comprehensive narration about this truly unique landscape.
After your pick-up at the Princess Cruise Terminal, you will leave Prince William Sound through the famous 2.5 mile Anton Anderson Tunnel. There will be photo stops along the way through glacier-laden Portage Valley and the Chugach National Forest as we journey to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC).
On your fully guided tour of the AWCC, located amidst 360 degree mountain terrain, you will see and learn about Alaska native animals such as brown and black bear, moose, caribou, musk ox, lynx, wolves and wood bison and more in this natural setting. We share the stories of how the animals came to live at the center, it’s history and it’s mission to help our visitors learn about Alaska’s wildlife. Snacks and light lunch items are available at the center.
As we approach Anchorage, you will learn about the renowned Turnagain Arm of the Cook Inlet with it’s world class scenery, and about life in Alaska's largest city.
